We’ve lost our VRginity, have you?

Google Cardboard and VR

At Junction we are putting the finishing touches to a client’s event roadshow that will harness VR and Google Cardboard, which we are very excited about (more on that in September when it goes live) and so now we’re always on the lookout for brilliant uses of VR and understanding more on how the technology can help with both brand engagement and demand generation for marketing departments. As such, we’re delighted to have found and be supporting this little beaut – Reality Bites in London on October 12th…

If you haven’t yet lost your “VRginity” don’t worry, you are not alone! If you are wondering how can you make the most of virtual reality (VR) to give customers a taste of what they can expect from your business, this event is being held later this year in London to reveal all!

Organiser of the Reality Bites half-day conference in October is Anne-Marie Sheedy, B2B Event Curation & Strategy director of Life Is Too Short. She told the GMA: “Spend on AR and VR has reached unprecedented levels – it’s about to hit a billion bucks this year, but is it just another fad? Not according to Goldman Sachs who have forecast that VR will overtake TV annual revenue by 2025.

“Of course, we can’t overlook AR (augmented reality) as Pokémon Go is breaking records and claiming more engagement than Facebook and Snapchat in just a couple of weeks. But how do you know if it is right for your brand? Should you be asking what your brand can do for VR or AR rather than vice versa? Could Virtual Reality marketing be the answer?”

Answers to the questions will be discussed at the half-day event in London on Wednesday October 12. Click here for more info and to book your ticket.

Sheedy continued: “We will be answering questions such as: How do you create the right content? How can you make the most of virtual reality to give customers a taste of what they can expect from your business? How can brands leverage VR to narrow the gap between experience/storytelling and transaction?

“Hear from these clever folk as they tackle these questions and more at our Reality Bites event.”
